2020年10月16—18日，由中国工程院作为学术指导单位，杭州市人民政府、浙江省科技厅主办的“中国(杭州)国际智能产品博览会和2020全球人工智能大会”在杭州国际博览中心召开。中国工程院潘云鹤、李国杰、李兰娟、孙凝晖院士，“图灵奖”获得者、美国工程院院士拉吉.瑞迪，以及来自科技部、浙江省相关部门，中科院计算所、浙江大学等人工智能领域科研机构，阿里巴巴、华为、百度、科大讯飞等120多家高新企业的500多位代表参加会议。
大会关注时下热点，聚焦场景应用和智能产品体验，展示了人工智能的前沿技术和最新产品，人工智能领域最具影响力的科学家、企业家们共聚一堂，共谋人工智能与数字经济发展大计，共享新兴科技与智能产品的全新体验。
围绕“建设AI无限想象之城”主题，大会共进行了11场分论坛，聚焦新基建、新消费、新制造、新电商、新健康、新治理，推动人工智能、互联网、大数据与实体经济深入融合；同时大会还设置了大赛活动、品牌展览等板块，共同围绕人工智能产业热点、最新政策、研发创新等进行交流与合作，促进项目对接、展示前沿技术，打造高水平、高层次、高质量的人工智能与数字经济领域政产学研金共聚的年度行业盛会、数字经济成果展、未来智能生活体验平台。
在中国工程院院士潘云鹤看来，当今人工智能应用，无论是智能制造、智慧城市、智能医疗，都十分重要。他说：“智慧城市的背后都是大数据，这些大数据并不在资料和书里，而是在城市的各个节点，所以我们要聚集数据，建立连接，要将数据打通，让数据流动起来，城市的‘一把手’，一定是一个智慧城市推动者。”
而在中国工程院院士李兰娟眼里，疫情防控也是城市管理的一部分。“在发现传染源方面，可以用AI找出传染源的轨迹，确定高危人群分布，协查可疑人群。在这次新冠肺炎疫情防控中，人工智能发挥了重要作用。”
本届大会还与北大研究院、浙江大学、同济大学、之江实验室等高校、科研院所开展交流合作，瞄准未来产业，推动前沿科技逐渐落地。与会者一致认为，大数据和AI蕴含着丰富的知识表达，是趋势，也是富矿，值得大家“勇闯天涯”。（部分内容来源：中国工程院，侵删）
